View file system tree quotas

Network-attached storage is a file-level storage architecture that makes stored data more accessible to networked devices.

About this task

Quota management allows you to place limits on the amount of space that can be consumed in order to regulate file system storage consumption. Quota trees limit the maximum size of a directory on a file system. Unlike user quotas, which are applied and tracked on a user-by-user basis, quota trees are applied to directories within the file system.

Steps

Select a storage system that supports File.
Select Storage > File.
Select the FILE SYSTEMS tab.
Click VIEW ALL DETAILS.
Select the TREE QUOTAS tab.

- Path—Path
- Enforce User Quotas—Enforce user quotas
- Soft Limit (GB)—Soft limit (GB)
- Hard Limit (GB)—Hard Limit (GB)
- Usage (GB)—Usage (GB)
- Remaining Grace Period (Days)—Remaining grace period
- State—State
- Description—Description
The following controls are available:
- Create— Create a file system tree quota
- Modify— Modify a file system tree quota property
- Properties— Manage quota settings
- — Delete file system tree quotas
- Create User Quota— Create a file system user quota
- Refresh Quota —Refresh tree quota
